How bizarre.
Dec. 10th, 2008 04:23 amI just found out that apparently, Flaking Paint is the most 'popular' piece of fic on my website. Not any of the more recent stories. Not the one that got recced on half a dozen Harry Potter fan sites, either. crack_van. Nope: the most popular fic, according to number of hits, is my soon to be ten years old, unfinished, very bad, very *first* attempt at fic writing. It consistently gets 11-12 hits per week. (For some reason I never checked this particular part of the website stats before - or if I did, I don't remember.) I'm pretty sure it's never been recced anywhere - I'd have found the link via the stats, and besides, it really *is* bad. And unfinished. So where do all these readers come from???
(Maybe they're all people who keep checking back because they hope the story will be updated/finished? Hmm.)
