hmpf: Cole and Ramse from the show not actually called "Splinter" (innocence)
[personal profile] hmpf
* FBI Agent Dale B. Cooper (acquired in 1990 from the tv show Twin Peaks):

Eccentric, energetic; possibly also enlightened. Came to Twin Peaks to catch a murderer, but Evil turned out to be catching.

* Frodo Baggins (acquired in 1992 from J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings):

Transcendent, pacifist hobbit. Had a brush with power madness during his trip to Mount Doom. A bit on the melancholy side ever since. (Note: I don't know what Frodo looks like, but Elijah Wood it ain't.)

* Methos, aka Adam Pierson, aka Dr. Benjamin Adams, aka Death (acquired in 1997 from the tv show Highlander):

On one level, he's a mild-mannered eternal grad student. On another, he's a 5000-year-old, cynical, smartass. He's also a sort-of-reformed mass murderer. Morals, to him, are very relative indeed.

* Elim Garak (acquired in 1999 from the tv show Deep Space Nine):

Tailor/spy. Motto: The ends justify the means. Reptiloid humanoid (it's attractive once you get used to it). Cultured, charming, inscrutable, ruthless. Don''t believe a word he says.

* John Crichton (acquired in 2000 from the tv show Farscape):

All-American science genius turned intergalactic terrorist. Has internal conversations (and way too intense a relationship) with guy who tortured him. Believes he's doing the right thing, most of the time.

* Dream of the Endless, aka Morpheus, aka The Sandman, etc. (acquired in 2001 from Neil Gaiman's comic series The Sandman):

Millennia-old personification with screwed-up family life and the emotional maturity of a twelve-year-old. Specialises in being a jerk to people he cares about.

* Alucard, aka – just read it backwards! (acquired in 2002 from the anime Hellsing):

Sort-of-subjugated (or maybe not) hyper-powerful vampire. Enjoys killing, but hates people who do it without style. Terrible sense of fashion, lots of charisma.

* Sirius Black, aka Padfoot (acquired in 2003 from J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter: The Prisoner of Azkaban):

Innocently imprisoned parttime-jerk with intense sense of loyalty. Spent twelve years being driven mad by soul-sucking monsters. Is also a dog - literally.

* Jaeger Ayers (acquired in 2004 from Carla Speed McNeil's comic series Finder):

Don't know too much about him yet, he's only been here a few days. He's still on try-out, so to speak, but he seems to meet the criteria well enough. Looks hot, is vaguely anti-social, has a mysterious past... He seems to fit here just fine.

Well-meaning, but possessed/slightly cracked:

Cooper, Frodo, John

Psychopath:

Alucard

Cynical pragmatics:

Garak, Methos

Essentially jerks:

Dream, Sirius

Three essentially well-meaning, but possessed/slightly cracked individuals; one psychopathical monster, two cynical pragmatics, and two jerks.

Help.

Well, the rest a nice -

in a non-crazy, non-psychopathic, non-jerky way. *g* I do manage to like the occasional nice guy.

Actually, many on the above list are only *mildly* disturbing. What's disturbing about them is mainly that I seem to have this thing for slightly damaged goods. A nice, well-adjusted guy just doesn't seem to do it for me, at least not in fiction.

I find that slightly worrying.

well....

I found this comment on Elfwood once, asking why all hot blokes were gay, insane, or hired killers.

I suppose the damaged ones are more 'interesting' (not sure if that's the word I mean...), right? If I were to do this list, it'd probably total a fair few in my harem.

I don't find it worrying, and I don't think you should. The ones with the problems are more fun ;)

and I also showed her LithiumDoll's disturbingly sexy vid "Until It Sleeps". She didn't get what was sexy about it at all.

So, I do think I'm... just ever so slightly... deviant.

I guess I'll just have to live with it.

*are* nice, not *a* nice.
