1.) [livejournal.com profile] dune_drd visited me this weekend, to learn how to make a ring and for general geek-out purposes. A great time was had by all (I think), and I'm seriously considering replacing my LJ catch-up plans with a general invitation to my flist to come and visit me so we can catch up in person instead. Not everybody at once, of course. ;-) It'd be like an extended flist convention, spaced out over several months!

I'm much better at being a host (and jewellery making teacher!) than I am at reading my flist regularly. Even if I did forget to give [livejournal.com profile] drd_dune a towel.

(If you'd like to visit me, comment.)

2.) For random natural beauty, I offer you these two links:

3.) For random, time-stealing cuteness, there's this:

Me! I'll come visit!

Except, unfortunately, not right now because I don't have the money. But...soon? Maybe? I hope?

Wheeeeee!

Oh gods, I so wish I could visit *you*! But, not with the job situation as it is... :-(

BTW, I'm reading Knights of the Old Republic. Still rereading the first 25 issues, though, because I'd forgotten too much. But it's still fun!

EVENTUALLY WE WILL SEE EACH OTHER AGAIN! *hugs* One day ONE of us will not be flat broke!

Yay for Knights of the Old Republic! I'll be interested to know what you think of it whenever you finish it. :)

I just followed the jasper link and I'm in awe. Had to blog it (http://nager.twoday.net/) immediately. ;)

(ok, why does the preview show the link in proper link form and then I get this self-important bolded and bracketed stuff that I didn't ask for? *throws a stone at LiveJournal*)

Well, visiting could be problematic, but we could have some coffee while you are in Hamburg :-)

Sounds like a plan!

Yay for meeting new fannish people!

Well, 'new' in the sense that we haven't met in RL before. :-)

(Or were you at that one Paradies meeting that I attended, in 2003 or so? In that case, accept my apologies for having forgotten about it: I'm afraid I don't remember exactly who was there anymore, it's been so long!)

I have only been at the Paradies meeting in 2006, so we haven't met in RL before :-).
I'll be on vacation the firtst three weeks in August, but after that it shouldn't be a problem.

I would love ever so much to come and visit you, however:

1. I do not have much cash (working on fixin' that, though).
2. I do not have a passport.

So, obviously I wouldn't be coming any time soon, but once I get the funds and so on, then count me in!

Heh.

Dammit, why are we all so poor? :D

You'd be welcome. Anytime, seriously.

Good question. Although as of last Thursday I am sort-of less poor (got a job, but have yet to get paid).

Aw, thank you. I wish I could return the favour, but even if you had the money, there is not a lot of room in our house. We have too much Stuff™

Oh, I should perhaps mention: being a guest at Chez Hmpf just means a place on an inflatable mattress on the floor of my room, I'm afraid! - Not to give the wrong impression here that I have anything like a guest room, myself! *g*

That would be fine by me. In my place you'd be hard-pressed to find the floor, let alone sleep on it, so anything is better than that :)

Thanks again for the lovely weekend - and the lovely ring! :D

I uploaded nearly all of my gifs for you, btw :D

Yay!

Thanks for the upload - I'll check them out ASAP (which, sadly, probably means: not before the weekend. *sigh*)

Having really strange urges...

to cross Life on Mars with 1970s Doctor Who, recently, btw. I mean, why don't people ever do that, why is it always present-day Doctor Who when Sam is in the 70s *and* was probably influenced, like most British children, by the Doctor(s) of his childhood? Crossing LoM with 70s Who makes so much sense!
