Rome/BSG: OTP?

Watching Rome (S1) sandwiched between Battlestar Galactica (S3) causes *really* strange mental interference. Also, desires to write *really* absurd crossovers.

(They *are* praying to the same gods...)

And no, I'm *not* adopting any more plot bunnies, thank you very much. Not outside of my writing fandoms, anyway.

I *might* get an idea for an M.A. thesis out of this, though.

Though the idea of crossing the two universes by simply letting BSG take place in our past, contemporaneously with Rome, is quite clever. Sometimes the simple solutions really are the best.
