(ETA: To my non-German-speaking friends: Robert Gernhardt was a brilliant, and very funny, German poet, painter and graphic artist. He died of cancer today, aged 68.)

Read my colleague a poem or two. She loved them, and asked to borrow the book. I was very pleased - this is *just* the thing to do when a writer dies, isn't it? Spreading their work around a bit more...
