I rarely, if ever, think: "I really need a boyfriend." Yet every time, and I *do* mean *every* time someone talks about their cat I think "I really need a cat."
I grew up having cats. When I graduated from college and took a job 6hrs away from the city in which I'd always lived, I left my cats with my parents. It would have been too cruel to move them -- they were 18-years-old (the cats, not my parents). I lasted 6 months before I had to get another cat of my own. And I've had cats ever since. -g-
Perhaps you just need a cat more than a boyfriend. Which isn't so bad cos when a cat ignores you, you can say, "Eh, that's just how cats are." Somehow saying, "Eh, that's just how boys are," never works as well...
