Short and long book titles
Dec. 18th, 2004 08:50 pmThe shortest title of a book in my bookcase is 'Ä' (by Max Goldt).
The longest title is 'Canopus in Argos: Archives. Re: Colonised Planet 5: Shikasta. Personal psychological historical documents relating to visit by Johor (George Sherban). Emissary (Grade 9). 87th of the Last Period of the Last Days' (by Doris Lessing)
I think both are hard to beat in terms of length or, respectively, shortness. There are a few more books around that have one character titles, though - there's 'V' (Pynchon, I think), and I think there's also a novel called either 'E' or 'G', unfortunately I can't remember by whom.
Anyone else know of any excessively long or short book titles?
