I forgot to mention...

hmpfthat in addition to all the other exciting and stressful things that happened this weekend and on Monday, I also had to relearn very quickly how to drive, after four years of total abstinence from driving. I drove in moderate traffic late Sunday night, and in full Frankfurt inner-city traffic - a scary thing indeed - Monday afternoon.
I'm still crap at driving - even worse than when I still had some practice. Obviously.
On the plus side, I *did* survive those two trips unharmed, and so did the car.
In other news, I'm still/again totally drained, and desperately wishing I could bail on RingCon this weekend. But the con ticket was just a bit too expensive to bail now. Frell.
Oh, and today I had a chance to try to strike fire from a flint. Unfortunately I failed miserably. My respect for our ancestors has risen another notch.
