I just e-mailed this to a few friends...
Sep. 28th, 2004 04:37 ambefore I realised I could inflict it on people here, as well. As I'm tired I'll only copy the body of the mail here, minus some personal stuff. Backstory will follow tomorrow or so. All this relates to my latest webcomic addiction. (http://www.itswalky.com - Don't follow the link, or you'll be badly, badly spoiled. Don't spoil yourselves before you've decided if you want to read this comic.)

Latest It's Walky strip reaction; just need to vent.- And a warning to interested parties: keep away from the main page of the comic for the next few days if you don't want to be spoiled very, very badly. Access it through the archives if my constant mails of pain and pleasure have made you curious: either at the real beginning http://www.itswalky.com/d/19970908.html or at the kind-of-beginning when the strip changes names http://www.itswalky.com/d/19991225.html - Beginning at the real beginning makes more sense, but it takes a while until it picks up speed. I know the art of the first few years is nothing to write home about, but it improves a lot with time and the story is worth it, anyway. (Early art: http://www.itswalky.com/d/20000808.html ; later art: http://www.itswalky.com/d/20020906.html - same two characters for ease of comparison.) If you dont't want to begin at the real beginning, this hilarious summary helps a lot: http://www.itswalky.com/faq/marksnotes1.html It sums up the first five years.
Okay, back to venting.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.
Well, okay, that *was* to be expected... but it still hurts. Oh hell. It's like Farscape, only even more sadistic because all the characters are so insanely cute-and-innocent-like... it's like watching kittens being tortured.
Goddammit, people, please read It's Walky and share my pain! Someone please share my pain!!!!!!
Damn. Can't go to bed now.
I'm a frelling masochist. I *like* being manipulated by evil storytellers.
Go on, read it... I don't want to suffer alone. The keenspot forum for it is just about dead, and the other forum I don't want to join, but I *need* to talk about this!
The comic's divided into chapters, so it's easy to read in stages. Come on, it's only 2000 strips... it should only take you a few weeks. ;-)
Of course, by the time you're done my pain will most likely have subsided somewhat...
Arrrrrrrrgh.
The pain, the pain...
Hmpf
