Turns out it was my fault. I forgot some deadline in March. So, for the moment, I'm not a student of Frankfurt university.
I'll have to reapply, but I still have a bit of time for that - the deadline for the winter term is September 1.

There's some good things about this, actually. 1.) No fees while I'm not a student! *g* 2.) When I get back to Germany it will officially only be my 7th term, instead of the 8th. *g*

In other news...

Just read 'The Game Players of Titan' by Philip K. Dick, one of the books the Brum SF society wanted to get rid of. Wow. What drugs did that man do again? Very... trippy reading experience. If that's what reading Philip K. Dick is like - and this is, AFAIK, not even one of the most recommended of his books - I have to read more Philip K. Dick. Any suggestions where I might start? 'The Man in the High Castle' has been suggested to me. 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep' would be obvious, of course. I'm also quite fond of the title of 'Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said' - but of course I have no idea what that is about, I just love the title.

I totally and utterly adore UBIK. for a weird "what if" Nazi thing, try The Man in the High Castle, though I didn't even enjoy it as much as Fatherland (that bad novel that became an even worse Rutger Hauer's movie :-).

And afaik, he was actually a paranoid schizophrenic...
