Huh?

Is LJ suddenly open to all? Not that I mind, as I've always disliked the fact that you needed to know someone to be able to join. I'm just a bit surprised.

Oh, and also: someone please recommend me a nice Farscape discussion community. I don't have any time for discussion now, but I think I'd like to join some FS community when my exams and stuff are done.

Sadly, I only know fic communities, for which I'd recommend farscapefriday and the_sporkys, but I think I know what your response is gonna be. *g*

I'd also recommend visiting theatrical_muse, as the Farscape crew there has taken off with a bang in recent days. Start with the LJ of john__crichton and see where it takes you. They're damned good.

As for discussion communities -- I think they're mostly off LJ. People like Frell Me Dead, and the Kansas boards, and even the SFC chat server's back up. A lot of Farscape chat happens in IRC; a medium I've never fully taken to, though people certainly do.

For more, I'd recommend asking someone like sorlklewis; she knows all. Tell her I sent you. *g*

I'm a regular at Kansas and FMD (though I lurk more than I post) - I was just looking for something comparable on LJ, since I now have various communities from various fandoms on my flist but no Farscape-related one. And since Farscape is really my main fandom, that feels a bit odd! *g*
