hmpf: Cole and Ramse from the show not actually called "Splinter" (Hmpf)

Great trip. A shame that it couldn't have happened earlier in my stay here. I got to know *loads* of people, talked to almost everyone on the trip - strangely, no Rebeccas, so there goes *that* theory (Rebecca theory recap: based on my recent experience 50 % of the British population seemed to be called Rebecca) - however, almost everyone seemed to be from Wales, which is just as weird a coincidence as the Rebecca thing. Yesterday night I ended up in a pub with five guys(!), got home at half past twelve, slightly drunk (tried not to get too drunk because I do not like to lose control in a situation like that). I managed to kick over my chair twice and, being slightly drunk, found that quite hilarious. Interesting experience. Nice guys, although one of them did try to make me more drunk by topping up my pint.

As for Stonehenge and Avebury, they're quite impressive, especially considering how long they've been around. Avebury is particularly amazing. My project at Stonehenge was something of a failure, though - all I ended up with was 48 pictures of lots of sheep, with almost indiscernible low mounds in the background, somewhere near the hazy horizon. I don't think they will be much use to produce drawings from. I'm not even sure I'll even bother developing them. I've wasted enough money buying the films! - Nor did I get around to doing all the observations I was supposed to. The distances were just too big, I couldn't get to all the points from where I meant to observe the view. Oh well, I'll just have to make do with pointless waffling instead of meaningful insights, I guess.

When I got home from the trip today my next two volumes of Finder had arrived. Jaeger is making some really odd fashion statements in one of them (not to mention the fact that he's suddenly a grandfather?!?!), and the other is the second part of a two part storyline, so I'm not sure I should read it, but I find it hard to resist its pull. I'm almost done with the other one, and have read the one that I got last Saturday several times already. I neeeeeeeed more Finder. Damn.

Found out that the next issue will be out in March, apparently. But first I have to get all the paperback collections. Only two missing...

Am kind of creeped out, btw, by the occurrence of the terms 'fan fiction' and 'slash' in Finder vol. 5. I feel like I've been found out and exposed or something! *g*

Tomorrow I'll have to work like crazy because the day after tomorrow my dear Scape Sisters AnduraNova and Dashan are coming to visit me, and on Friday Scapekid will be joining us, as well. So, I won't be able to get a lot of work done *then*. I'll have to get a lot done tomorrow, otherwise I'm frelled. I may be frelled already, for all I know.

Glad ya had a good time! Shame about the photos though...I took what I thought was an amazing one once, from the top of the Great Orme, looking towards Anglesey. Got the film developed and all I had was a foggy panorama...*sigh* Just my luck I reckon...

Not surprised about the amount of Welsh people you met, to be honest, since Birmingham is right next door to Wales (this was a uni trip?). But I know what you mean about people called Rebecca, ever since I was a kid, I've known someone called Rebecca (or a variant thereof). Tis indeed weird...

^_^

I find it fascinating. It makes me kind of curious about where each Rebecca was from, and what the ages of the Rebeccas were. "Exactly how much of the world is it a popular girls name in, and how long has Rebecca been a popular girls name," I wonder sometimes. :)

Counting my Rebeccas... (minus you, that is)

Rebecca 1: Scapekid, 20 years, from Wales
Rebecca 2: ladydoor, around 20 as well, from Birmingham
Rebecca 3: fellow Birmingham Science Fiction Society member, 19, from uhm, somewhere in England
Rebecca 4: a poster at the Unofficial UK Farscape board, no other information

Those are all that come to mind immediately, but I know that whenever I mentioned the Rebecca theory somewhere, there usually are another Rebecca or two around. *g*

Heh, well, of the ones who's ages you knew there, they're close to or entirely a decade younger than me. From that bunch anyway sounds like Rebecca was a popular kids name with my parents generation and is popular with parents younger than them. ;)
