I didn't like Keith R.A. DeCandido's Farscape books (he wrote the trilogy that came out while the TV series was still airing) because all the characters felt off to me (I remember he completely mis-wrote Rygel which - while he's not my favourite character - seems to stick in my head for some reason). Obviously his writing has become better since then (well, it WAS ten years ago!)
I have no idea about the minisodes. The last I heard, there was going to be animated webisodes but, as far as I know, nothing ever came of that (and that was about five years ago, so evidently I am completely out of date). So. Not a clue, I'm afraid (but if you find anything out, please share!)
Thought of you when I was in Manchester on Thursday - as I discovered, and did you know? There is a Highlander anime. Honestly. Me and my friend Annette just looked at it and groaned, but I thought I'd pass on the info. (It looks terrible, if the animation style is anything to go by. I can imagine it will be shonen-ed to the nines from what I can tell, but I wasn't about to buy it to find out).
