Archaeology and alcohol

It has been remarked by people working in the profession that there seems to be a certain... link between archaeology and alcohol. Small wonder, I say, if they teach us *this* at university:
"The Sequence of Environmental Work during a Funded Project:
- Phone call to inspect site and sample.
- Give estimate on costs of 'assessment'.
- Do assessment (usually scanning).
- Write MAP II report suggesting potential and costs of full analysis.
- MAP II approved.
- Do full analysis.
- Produce interim report.
- Attend post excavation meeting.
- Write Final site report and bill.
- Go get drunk."
