Need to book soon: if I booked today, I could get a (one-way) ticket to London for as little as 44 euros!

ETA: What's the weather like in Britain in August vs. September? I need to decide whether to put the conference at the beginning, end, or in the middle of my stay...

I missed the panic attack but I had just shown up here to post GIANT HUGS to it and tell you that you'd do okay, even if it seems overwhelming when I saw all the other posts you had made.

Obviously I am Very In Favour of you coming the UK in any capacity. ;) I will Get To Where You Are at least briefly if at All Possible if you can't come to Cardiff! :D

As to weather and stuff, honestly, I wouldn't like to predict. August is hotter than September, generally speaking. You're a bit more likely to get good weather in August? But honestly, it's Britain, it'll probably be raining. :( This year the weather has been very changeable.

Well, August can be hot, September isn't. It can rain anytime it feels like it. It gets dark earlier in September. Depending on what you want to do August will be full of children, come September they will be back at school.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

(Sorry, just so excited to see you so - relatively - soon.)

Thanks for the hug; I reciprocate. (How's that for an oddly distanced expression of virtual affection? ;-) Rather like my RL hugging style. Seriously, though: much, much love. Even though I still haven't managed to send you my present.)

So many questions for you, actually. I need to get this Skype thing figured out: I want to talk to you! Sadly, it seems like it always gets superseded by the "SRS BSNS" section of the To Do list. Arrgh.

As I'll actually be travelling - for the first time! - with some disposable income, I think I should be able to make it to Cardiff easily. Or, if I really wanted to save money, I could just have my 'official' holiday somewhere in Wales, too - that way I'd be in the general area already. Not like it isn't an exceedingly pretty part of the country, after all!

Not much difference really, but August is slightly more likely to be nice. :) If I'm around when you're in London, you're welcome to crash on the sofabed (much bigger flat these days)!

The beginning of September is likely to be quite nice -the weather doesn't really turn until the Equinox. After that expect cold and rain.

Though, of course, this is the UK, expect cold and rain anyway...

If you let us know when you're in London, I'll try and scrape up some of the LoM fandom reprobates for a little meet, if you're interested!

I can't add anything about the weather that hasn't been said already. (Although totally agree - kids will be around in Aug, but not Sept. Depends how you feel about kids, I guess?)

I'd love to see you again, but sadly I haven't got much disposable income myself right now, so...if you're Oop North, we could arrange to meet somewhere but if not, no worries.

Would love to make it Oop North!

Can't really tell if I can actually make it there yet, though, as it depends on a few factors out of my control. I may have to use part of my holidays to do research in various places, in which case the places I'll go will be partly determined by that, obviously. Things will hopefully become clearer soon, though. I'd love to meet you again!

Hmm... I really *should* go to Manchester for a few days, if at all possible. Speaking of research. I need to get an impression of the place, for my fic! ;-)

I'll probably try to add a couple of days at the beginning or end to do some touristy stuff. And I'd love to meet you!

(Not quite sure about the rest of the fandom, as I'm still afraid I may not manage to be entirely civil if the topic of 2.08 should come up, LOL! Though I've mellowed a bit on that over the years. But just a bit.)

Awesome!

BTW, I can not offer you a bed in Frankfurt anymore, but should you ever make it to Bamberg (a very pretty, if small, town), my sofa (which doesn't exist yet, but will, hopefully, soon) is yours. :-)

August sounds better, then.

Longer days and nicer weather is nice when I'm going for a walking holiday.

Well, like I said, no worries if you can't. Or don't want to. But if you *do* decide to get to Manchester, let me know, and we can meet c:

My mum said it's a pity we can't offer to put you up for a couple of days (we just don't have the room, I'm afraid. Also we have a cat, and you're allergic, aren't you? That would not be fair to you).

I completely love cats, and the allergy isn't severe - more annoying than life-threatening, basically a constant case of the sniffles. I'm always glad to endure that for the sake of spending some time with my favourite species of animal. :D

Also, I'm small, so I don't require much space. ;-)

Not that I'm trying to impose myself on you or something... ;-)

LOL, it happens.

Oh, I know you like cats - mentioning to mum that you were allergic but liked them led to a lot of sympathetic noises.

Seriously, I'd let you in the house in its current state, but I think mum gets embarrassed by it. I honestly wish I could promise you some floor space, but it's not looking likely right now.
