"The Force will be with you, young one. Always."

(Sorry, can't come up with a more suitable Life on Mars quote. As for HL, "Live, fight another day" doesn't quite cut it, as good as Methos' lines usually are. *g*)

sobrave. :)

(not cus you have no reason to be scared, but just because sometimes it helps to be reminded what's also true).

That's all right.

We know Adam Pierson approves of higher education, anyway. :-)

I meant to contact you in particular about this, btw, because guess where I have to move now... (we should probably move this to e-mail).

Heh.

I keep telling myself that if this *should* eventually result in Terrible Failure, I'll still not be much worse off than if I hadn't taken the job in the first place. (Well, I'll be without the practical museum experience. But I'll have a few years of uni experience instead.)

Sometimes you just have to take a chance... right?

ABSOLUTELY right. You really won't be any worse off and you WILL have practical working experience, just in teaching rather than working at a museum. You have absolutely nothing to lose by doing this. But acknowledging and having a bit of a freak out about how scared you are is also part of handling it. *epic exciting hugs of scared bravery*

Is there any other sort of bravery, even? I mean, if you're not scared, there's no reason to be brave! ;-)

I do worry a teensy tiny bit that I may be losing a kind of last chance at a (later) museum career here. I'm not sure if that's a field that I could still break into at a later point, and it *is* a field of work I love quite a bit.

Dude, if this has taught you anything, it's that you can't predict where you'll end up and jobs you thought you had no chance in hell of getting may fall into your lap.

If you want a later museum career, okay, maybe you won't be as qualified as others, but it's not like a PhD and teaching experience will make you horribly unqualified.

And you're right, bravery is intertwined with fear, but it's always good to remember it. :)

Hey. Only to say, good luck. And to say, it'll get better, no matter how you feel about the first day. :)
