I just spent a night...

editing the beginning of The Man Who Fell to Earth, aka "the 2.08 survival fic", down to four pages. I think what I have left now is fairly solid, aside from the obvious problems I have with keeping dialogue in character, especially for the 1970s crowd. The main problem, though, the problem that has kept me from continuing this project since 2008, is that this *needs* some 1970s plot (as well as convincing character interaction in those parts of the story) to really work, and I can't for the life of me come up with one.

I need help. I think I need someone to read what I have - someone with a solid handle on the 1970s characters and the police setting and so on - and then I need that person to have a chat with me. At the very least. Possibly more than a chat. (Sometimes I think I need a co-author.)

Well... I haven't actually posted much LoM fic (have written some which never got finished (yet) mainly because I got totally sidetracked by John Simm's version of The Master - he kidnapped me and hasn't let me go yet!) but I've had the urge to take up my LoM fics again more and more lately... so if you still need someone to chat to about your fic then I'd be glad to help if I can. As for the co-Author thing... well probably best you take a look at what I have posted so far to see if you like my style and maybe some chat will reveal whether or not we'd be suited, LOL! You can find some of it here: http://thefreakiestshow.weebly.com/ I've also got a WIP on my hard drive in which when Sam Tyler goes into the canal, Gene and Ray dive in and rescue him - only when he comes around, the Master is inhabiting his body. The flip side of the story is, of course, Sam Tyler in the Master's body.... I'm itching to get back to that one in particular!

But if you're all fixed up now, well that's good and I look forward to seeing the results!
