Feb. 2nd, 2010 12:27 pmYou'll be happy to know that I have just started reading the Night Watch series. So far I'm enjoying it, but I'm only fifty pages in.
I seem to be on a "stuff that
dunkle_feuer likes" kick recently. First Miles, now this... I wonder if the fact that in between Miles and the Night Watch stuff I reread 20th Century Boys means that *you* should now read 20th Century Boys... ;-)
(ETA: Just in case, here's a link: http://www.onemanga.com/20th_Century_Boys/ - And for the epilogue: http://www.onemanga.com/21st_Century_Boys/)

Date: 2010-02-05 09:00 pm (UTC)Err, no.
Date: 2010-02-05 09:45 pm (UTC)Discworld still somewhat scares me because it would mean buying hundreds (well, several dozens, anyway) of books. ;-)
If there were someone I knew who just happened to have the series available for borrowing, I'd read it, but as it is, I'd have to buy (and find space for) all of it myself... which is currently unfeasible for me, both financially and in terms of available space.
Just because it's so cool:
Date: 2010-02-05 09:52 pm (UTC)It's not a particularly faithful adapation - but it *is* a great trailer. *g*
Re: Err, no.
Date: 2010-02-05 10:41 pm (UTC)Most of my Discworld books are (mostly) second-hand, so I can get them cheap - although aside from the newer ones, it's harder to find the other ones. I haven't got all of them (yet! I live in hope!)
I understand about money and space, though. If you lived nearer, I would lend what I have to you, but alas :(
Re: the trailer - I remember seeing that on TV and thinking it looked cool, but somehow I never got around to watching it, and then it dropped off my radar altogether.
