I think I'll join you in your 3rd Doctor love. Love the shoe grab; love the burbly singing in the shower. But how weird is it that he regenerated with a tattoo?!

ETA: Why didn't I watch this *years* ago? I've had the eps lying around for ages... Stupid me! I admit, I was a bit daunted by my experiences with the First and Second Doctor eps, which can be fun, but are also, usually, veeeeery slow.

I want an ep set on Delphon now, just to see the Doctor communicate with his eyebrows. :D

Also: my, what a lot of blood for early 1960s children's tv! Shot lovingly in close-up, too.

Well, it was an early 1970s show by then. :) Also, Spearheads from Space so is the episode I'd show Old Who newbies because the narrative pace by then is more what we're used to, and because it's almost a second pilot. Also because I love the Three era. *uses one of several icons from same*

Third Doctor! ♥ He is my most favorite Doctor (followed by Five and Seven), so I'm glad you enjoyed him as well!

And yeah, the first two Doctors can be a bit slower than what we are used to. I'm not anywhere close to having caught up with their eras either because of that. But occasionally, I do like me some First or Second Doctor. Both of them can be so much fun!

3 IS LOOOVE! And apparently, it's basically canon that the tattoo is some weird Time Lord Exile Thing ;) Wait until you see the Master/Doctor dynamic - pure win.
