Questions.

Why do so many Brits actually look so British? Do many Germans actually look German? Do I? Aren't we middle to northern Europeans all more or less of the same stock now, after so many centuries of intermingling and intermixing? Why do I have such a big thing for British (male) facial types? And is this reason enough to seriously contemplate moving to Britain?

(I am roughly half serious here.)

I kind of know what you mean - I think there's a racial look to Americans, and they've been apart from us for less time than the major Teutonic/Germanic/whatever-the-right-word-is races have that produced Germans and Brits. I can't say I could point at someone and go "Oh yes, he or she is German", though.

I can't really answer the questions, though, apart from what I kind of said above that wasn't really an answer.
