hmpf: Cole and Ramse from the show not actually called "Splinter" (Default)
The transition is almost done and the first line of the last scene is written; the dialogue's roughly sketched out. But I still need music advice - now more than yesterday, because it turns out the last scene demands at least one song reference, too, and the transition needs yet another one as well. I wish I had a working knowledge of popular music...

sleep all day, only get back to the story in the evening, and perhaps not even then? Or dope myself with caffeine and see how long I can go on? And maybe, *maybe* finish it today?

Dope myself with caffeine it is.

Not feeling particularly inspired right now, but THIS HAS TO END.

Preferably today. I need my life back. For urgent, important stuff like preparing for my fucking JOB.

My, the dawn is beautiful. I see that so rarely...

Also, this is awesome beyond words. I suspect that that, rather than the caffeine, is what's keeping me fueled at the moment.

ETA: Same performance, better image quality.

Can't. Go. Out. Before. I'm. Done.

But dammit, I'm hungry.

And I'm getting the feeling that I will *not* write the very last sentence or two today, because there's still a little issue there that needs thinking about (and that I've only just become fully aware of), and my brain's too mushy now to handle the necessary thinking.

Still, I'll be happy enough if I manage everything but the last two sentences or so. This will go back in the virtual desk drawer for a while anyway, as it still needs work in a number of places, and that work needs the perspective that only time can provide. So a missing sentence or two in places isn't a disaster. I can still add those in one of the rounds of revising and rewriting.
hmpf: the ears of love (ears of love)
My Post-Gathering Highlander fic from 2003(?), Endure, has been available in a revamped version on AO3 for a little while now. I didn't mention it before because I wanted to reread it first. I have now done so, and have decided that it's fit to be more widely shared. I really do think it's much improved; a lot of the things that bothered me about it are gone now (yeah, I went the editing-by-machete way again. What can I say - it works!)

Here it is. Update your bookmarks, or whatever.
