hmpf: Cole and Ramse from the show not actually called "Splinter" (Cop porn)
Been offline for less than a week and there's already 220 new posts on my friends list. Arrgh. I just scanned them and I see that many of you seem to be having an extraordinarily bad time. To all of you to whom that applies: I (hug) you. I am sorry I have no time for more personal replies, due to ExamsHell.

From uncharted space to the Uncharted Territories, or: Scapekid and Hmpf do Germany:

Although (or because) it made us avoid some very necessary work, the trip was great. On the first evening Scapekid introduced me to the greatness that is (rather surprisingly!) the Battlestar Galactica miniseries, and we decided we wanted to be President Roslin when we grow up. Alas, I have severe doubts I will ever grow up, as I haven't managed to do so in the last 27 years, but we'll see. We also learned to worship the Glasses of Command... And Scapekid got plot bunnies for a Battlestar Galactica/Farscape crossover which perfectly makes sense. Unfortunately she doesn't really write fanfic anymore. :-(

The TBFC was just wonderful, as always, and Scapekid, for whom this was the first experience of this kind, was happy to be adopted by, as she put it, 'a tribe of German geeks'. She's right, there *is* something very tribal about our minicon. It must be the sleeping on the floor bit... Also, we've decided that every con should have a random baby around, as they make the perfect toy for the slower moments. Meeting Mark and Katja's 'Scaperbaby' Nessi almost made me reconsider my decision not to have kids. Of course, there was the mandatory 'sleeping Hmpf' shot, as well - http://events.altpeter.de/farscape7/tbfc7_06 - seems there always has to be one. Or two: http://events.altpeter.de/farscape7/tbfc7_28)

Also, we got to be made fun of on radio this time. Watch this space for more info and an upcoming report: http://www.sf-radio.net.

Bad News: I still haven't done any revising.

Good News: I got a job, starting tomorrow. A mini job, only, but a job is a job, and money is money, so, yay! And I couldn't really spare the time for anything but a mini job at the moment, anyway.
