Root Beer!

Hehe... I should have mentioned this before, but I was so tired yesterday I could hardly think... the friend I spent yesterday evening with brought me a bottle of root beer from Canada!!! Now, if that 'Have you ever drunk root beer because of DS9?' thread ever comes up again at the TrekBBS, I can post that I have! Or rather, I haven't, yet -- at the moment, the bottle is still standing on my bookshelf. I treasure it too much to drink it right away. Claudia said it tastes awful. I bet it does -- Nog doesn't strike me as a very reliable guide on things drinkable and edible... ;-)

So, what did I do today, besides going to uni and reading out aloud chapter 26 of Henry James' 'Washington Square' to an audience of three? I made a solution of sulphuric acid and put a necklace I had finished last friday in it. I was afraid ('positively scared' is more like it) it would be ruined by the acid, given that the necklace consists partly of steel, which can under certain circumstances ruin silver if put in an acidic solution with it, but it came out fine. I'm extremely happy about that, 'cause it means that necklace is really finished and ready to be sold now! :-)
