hmpf: Me painted blue (fanatic)

It just occurred to me, not for the first time, that after having completed my fourth year on LJ now I should probably backup (*imagines that word pronounced in Mancunian accent and fights a giggle*... err, sorry. Somehow that word always gets me.) my LJ somehow on my computer/on CD, just in case.

So, how would I go about doing that? Do I download an ordinary LJ client for that? Can you recommend me one? Are there special tools/programs for archiving? Do they archive comments as well als posts? Etc...

I use this program to backup my LJ. It downloads all your entries and comments, too. You can set it up to physically resemble your LJ, too.

You can also export your LJ, via one of the links on the site map, which is what I do (but it's possibly ultimately more time-consuming, as you have to then sort out all the formatting, as it's not preserved).
