I have now embarked on making my first vid. Just so you know.

There's a sequence at the beginning of my vid, mainly thanks to luck (I wish I could say it was skill, but it really was more of an accident), which makes me squee with sheer delight... I know it's kinda indecent to do that over your own work, but... *sighs happily*

The song I'm using is Tom McRae's A & B Song. There are a couple of lines in there that don't quite fit (but then, there usually are), but most of it is almost perfect.

Pray for me that the gods of Windows Movie Maker continue to smile on my endeavour.

Ooooh! Go you! I was wondering about making a vid a while back (I haven't, as yet). So now am wondering, is Windows Movie Maker one of the already installed programs with XP? (Here I am assuming you use XP though...) Because I can't be bothered to download anything else. Heh.

I have to warn you: it's a pretty crap program. But it's the only one that's available, so...

Got about one and a half minutes of vid now. Roughly seven hours of work so far. (Not that it would be any faster with another program. WMM is just annoying because it keeps screwing up your work in new and creative ways.)

Oh, also, got the DVDs the other day, and been meaning to say thank you ever since! So, THANK YOU!!!!!!! Not sure when I'll get to watch them (and look at the manga one), but rest assured they will be watched, and I will let you know my thoughts after :)

Yes, WMM sucks. But I have successfully made three videos with it and I don't think any of them entirely suck. WMM just takes some...creative swearing at to get going sometimes.

Also, YAY YOU KEEP VIDDING! Because then, perhaps, you will use awesome songs and find awesome pieces of vidding luck in a fandom I know!

P.S. I haven't forgotten the Methos episodes. THEY WILL BE WATCHED! I'm looking forward to watching them actually, but I haven't had time this last week. Stupid me.

P.P.S. I'm working on a new vid too - Devils & Dust for BSG. But it's proving...recalcitrant. It's irritating. I think the beginning is going to be the weakest part, which always sucks.

You could get to know LOM fandom quite easily, you know? ;-)

Vid update: I've got around 1:50 of 3:10 now, so I'm about halfway done, but the ending will be difficult (you know the song...) The beginning utterly rocks, though. (Sorry, have to brag a bit.)
