Actually there *is* a Sam Tyler mood theme over here.

So great you're watching it!

We continue to be scarily compatible! ;-)

Do we need to add another couple of letters to our Acronym of Doom?

Yes we should... soon the Acronym of Doom will be released and it will COVER THE ENTIRE EART!! Muahahaha!

*cough*

sorry, I got carried away ^^

So, what is it now?

SFCFSZGIWHBMDWLOMAS - SF-Community Farscape Zebra Girl It's Walky Hellblazer Methos Doctor Who and Life On Mars Appreciation Society?

Heeeeeh. That *is* a scary acronym all right!

But to take over the world properly you still need to pick up a few more of my fandoms, and I need to pick up a few more of yours. I suggest you get started on 20th Century Boys next, and I'll get started on Y The Last Man. ;-)

I think we're missing something in the middle, not sure.

20th century boys! Argh! Now you tell me, L_G still has the CD you burned me, gotta get it back asap

BTW...

your icon demonstrates one of the more puzzling tendencies in recent iconage I've been noticing - text that is so tiny that even if I enlarge it by 200 % I can't read. What's the purpose of that? *is confused*

Yes, but do you love Gene? Lovely, horrible Gene. *dreamy sigh*

Nope, sorry.

Too much meat on the bones (*big* turn-off!), too little angst. Not my type. I like my men thin/lean and angsty. Either of the two will do - e.g., Methos is thin/lean but not particularly angsty (well, okay, there's potential for angst there, but he's nothing compared to angstmasters like Sam Tyler, or John Crichton - or rather, he seems rather beyond angsting - which I actually like, cause I don't really like wallowing), whereas John is angsty but not particularly thin - but a combination of both is best. (Sorry - horrible sentence, that one. Too tired to restructure)

What both John and Methos have over Sam Tyler, though, is that they also feel kind of dangerous, an important additional turn-on. I guess Gene has that, but it's not enough on its own.

What it really comes down to, at the moment, is that I really like Sam's face, whereas Gene's face doesn't do a lot for me. First point of attraction is *always* the face for me.

Yeah, I'm shallow. But I suspect preferences like that are *always* shallow.

Of course, I've only seen two eps so far. I may revise my opinion. It took me a while to warm to John Crichton, for example. He's not physically my type at all.

Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh!

How can you not like Gene?! (Stupid question, since I did just read that post *sigh*)

Um. Yah. Now I will go...

:)

(PS - although, random decision between me and [livejournal.com profile] lord_dingsi, take a look at my pretty pretty icon *points* and tell me, can you see Philip Glenister playing John Constantine? We can, so I thought I'd ask you.)

John Constantine

From: [identity profile] hmpf.livejournal.com
Dunno... I don't think John's that big and beefy. And he's definitely not as physical in his approach to problem solving, but then, of course, that's Gene, and not necessarily Philip Glenister, so I shouldn't include that in my considerations. Philip Glenister's definitely a great actor - but I'm not sure I could buy him as, essentially, a trickster/con man kind of character. Hmm.

I wouldn't rule him out completely, but he's not the most obvious candidate for the role, I'd say.

So you got *and* watched it already? Great! Isn't it one of the best series ever (or at the very least very, very good)? I can't even say just how much in love I'm with that show. And Sam and Gene, and Chris and Annie. But mostly Sam. And ... ah, I should just stop and finally go to bed, before I spend the whole night here, telling you just why the series is so great *g*

As for mood themes, there is another one here, just Sam, all the time. It's the first mood theme that could convince me to let go of my Eroica theme :P

I'm not sure if you found it yet, but LJ also has a wonderful LoM community here: [livejournal.com profile] lifein1973

And now I'm really off to bed :)

Just two eps so far.

I'm torn between wanting to eat them up as fast as possible, and rationing them so they will last longer. Much like with my almond chocolate, come to think of it.

Anyway. Sam! Angst! *squeeeeeeeeee*

(You did know I'd fall for this one like a sack of bricks, didn't you? This isn't just right up my alley; it's more like right up my staircase, possibly even already sitting in my living room.)

Simple - eat them up as fast as possible, then re-watch them for dessert and dinner, like most of us did/do :D

Of course, I knew. Our tastes aren't that different, and when I fall for the series and Sam within the first few minutes, you had to as well *g* See it as repayment for all the obsessions you gave me throughout the years :P

As fort Sam - he's my absolute favorite character in this really brilliant show (not much of a surprise, seeing the angst potential). I mean, I love Gene, too (as well as the rest of the team), but Sam is just ... the best. He's absolutely wonderful.

And it gets even better. If you feel this way after the first two episodes already, you'll be completely lost after the last two. Take some of the most emotional FS moments, and you can maybe imagine how it will be.

And now go and watch more, so that I don't accidentally spoil you *g*

I'm odd...

I still prefer the first two to the last two.

But as I love the whole series, that's irrelevant. (Yes, I've watched all of it now.)

I need a LoM icon... I have one in mind, but I need to make it first. Unfortunately I'm crap at handling text in icons. Well, maybe I'll just make it an image-only icon. May be more powerful, anyway. We'll see.

It's Angst Central, and, dude, I'm all about the angst!

Sam rivals John for angst and mental disturbance. (Love your icon!)

Yes, the angst, the delicious angst. That's how I've been selling it! Sam can make the tears stand in his eyes just like John.

Von Verzagen kann übrigens keine Rede sein. Ich bin nicht Sam Tyler - und selbst Sam Tyler verzagt nicht, sondern wird bloß etwas wahnsinnig.
