The Highlander Meta explosion

I've been meaning to do many constructive things these past two days, but I was distracted in a major way by a meta party going on at unovis_lj's place and elsewhere.

Arrgh! Need. To. Start. Working. On. University. Stuff!!! And read, and write, and arrgh... too little time. Frell.

Here's unovis_lj's meta party - it's a bit difficult to sum up what it is all about because by now it's evolved in ten different directions - not all of them even Highlander-related anymore. There's a guide to the discussions here.

Then, there's the *brilliant* essay on why Methos is PIE by melannen on highlander_lj. Both educational and highly entertaining, so head over there if you want to learn why 'Methos' could mean both 'I am God' and 'Suck me!' Really, I can't recommend this essay enough. Hehe.

Oh, and I couldn't resist making that 'meta' icon I talked about. For those who missed it before, this is from the comic 'Shade the Changing Man' by Peter Milligan, and Shade's an alien from planet Meta. The icon was just screaming to be made.
