though I really should be writing... But this made me laugh today, and maybe it will make you laugh too, and laughing is good, so...

The BBC are clearly following discussions at Outpost Gallifrey. How do I know? Well... on the various mock-up websites the BBC have set up to accompany Doctor Who over the past weeks there have been oblique, and occasionally very funny references to theories and jokes posted on the Outpost Gallifrey forums. Today I discovered perhaps the best one so far: ever since a picture of Captain Jack riding a bomb on which 'schlechter Wolf' had been stencilled appeared in some magazine a week or two ago, people have been speculating about the meaning of that bit of German. See, 'schlechter Wolf' is babelfish online translator German for 'bad wolf'. That is to say, it's a word by word translation, but it's still wrong. The bad wolf of myth and lore is called 'böser Wolf' ('evil Wolf') in German, whereas 'Schlechter Wolf' roughly translates as 'rubbish wolf', i.e. bad in a quality sense, not in a moral sense. From this the theory was developed (tongue firmly in cheek) that perhaps this was a hint, and the elusive Bad Wolf of Doctor Who Season 27 would turn out to be, in one poster's words, 'a bit rubbish'.

Well, fast foward to a week or so later. It's today, and I'm reading the latest update on http://www.whoisdoctorwho.co.uk, the mock-website of Mickey, Rose's boyfriend, about the great Doctor conspiracy. Well... there was a pic there today of the 'schlechter Wolf' bomb, with the following explanation:
