hmpf: Cole and Ramse from the show not actually called "Splinter" (the doctor)

(Just the subject line, though. ;-))

I have to repeat that: OMG. F***ing hell.

(Spoilers for Doctor Who ep 27.06: 'Dalek' in the following)

I'll be so frelling tired tomorrow/today 'cos I just spent I don't know how long watching and rewatching and re-rewatching The Scene. That is, the confrontation between the Doctor and the dalek. Oh boy. Wow. Wow. I... don't know what to say. Except that Christopher Eccleston makes the Doctor scary as hell, and I love it. First, last week's calm 'Yes... me,' with the 'don't f*** with me' stare. And this week, a Doctor so consumed by hatred he's barely recognisable anymore. The triumphant, mocking "Oooh, and I caught your little signal. 'Help me,' poor little thing..." bit of his speech - that, and the grin when he says 'exterminate', must be the most disturbing bits of Doctor Who I've ever seen. Gut-wrenching, sickening even.

Holy shit. And they think this is kid's TV? Or even just kid friendly? Well, granted, a lot of the more disturbing bits probably go right over the younger viewers' heads - but that moment there, that wasn't kid's TV.

But it *was* first rate drama, and stunning proof of Christopher Eccleston's abilities as an actor.

Damn, I think I have to watch it again now. I haven't seen the whole ep yet, but that scene is easily up there with the most gut-wrenching, most dramatic scenes of Farscape.

Well done, BBC.

There were no screencaps of the sixth ep available yet, but here's one of the 'you don't know who you're messing with' stare:

Re: I agree if you mean the episode as a whole.

Yes okay, the scene was aces. As is the word aces. And the fact that you are now using it. Indeed.
