Multifandom vid recs
Jan. 8th, 2005 03:14 pmAnother method of procrastination: downloading over 3 GB of fanvids...
Here's a few recs:
Fandom: Highlander
Character: Methos
Vidder: Luminosity
Vid: Touched
Song: Touched, by Vast
Link: http://kamil.slashcity.com/eyecandy/highlander/touched.wmv
This vid has incredibly clever, thematically appropriate use of 'zooming in' and 'zooming out' shots. Pay attention to that when you watch it... It also has lots of Methos - always a good thing.
Fandom: Spider-Man
Character: Peter
Vidder: AJ
Vid: The Burden
Song: Shine, by Sevendust
Link: http://hitmanyr2k.com/AJSpiderman2.avi
Very well edited action/romance vid. Some amazing examples of synchronisation.
Fandom: Lord of the Rings
Character: Rosie Cotton
Vidder: Freelancer
Vid: Rosie's Song
Song: Rosie's Song, by Maureen O'Brien
Link: http://www.angelfire.com/rings/rosiesong/
Someone has taken one of my favourite filks and made a video of it!

Date: 2005-01-10 11:09 pm (UTC)You may be lacking a codec or a filter or whatnot. If you can find a little program called g-spot it will tell you what exactly is missing. I don't know where to download it, though.
How are you doing? How's archaeology? ;-)
