Books will be the death of me...
Apr. 4th, 2004 02:57 amBought another one. City of Saints and Madmen by this guy, 'cause it tickles my fancy for Books That Are Places and because the cover is stunningly beautiful. And I still had a "2 pounds off" voucher.

Oh, and for those of you who were so kind as to cross their fingers for my job hunting yesterday: it was a strange day, with no very conclusive results. Some people told me the times were bad for jobs in the jewellery trade, others said they might have work for me. A couple of designers said they may have a little bit (a very little bit, but it's better than nothing) of work for me - translating something to German and possibly also doing some goldsmith's work. But on the whole, I think, it looks relatively bad. Apparently one of the biggest companies just closed down and now everybody is looking for a job. :-(
