hmpf: Cole and Ramse from the show not actually called "Splinter" (Hmpf)

my browser went weird on me and then my laptop crashed, and next thing I knew there were two Sirius posts instead of one.

Anyway... whew. My brain's in overdrive again. I love and hate when that happens. I love it because, well, it's a great feeling. I hate it because it's frelling exhausting and sometimes makes me feel like I'm getting awfully close to going mad (especially since it usually goes hand in hand with severe insomnia). And of course it always happens when I *should* be doing about a dozen more important things.

So, 'A Black and White Picture', which is now the official working title of my new Harry Potter WiP, is coming along nicely. Added another four or five hundred words to it today, and am insanely proud of every sentence. It's breaking my heart in all the right ways. Hey, I even already got a bed scene. Not what you think, though - they're just sleeping. Quite innocently. Really. They're actually both too messed up at the moment to be in the mood for anything else. Yay angst, as a friend once said. *eg*

(Speaking of which... I just looked over 'Together' again and found lots of weird things that I immediately fixed. That should teach me not to revise my stories late at night, next time! *g*)

Apart from that, the Stonehenge essay is nearly done, except for the appendices and illustrations, and then of course I've also written that insane Sirius apology I just posted. Which means that in the last three days I wrote some 4000 words about Stonehenge, some 2500 words about Sirius, and around 850 words of fic. Which makes for an impressive total of around 7350 words in three days. That is a lot, for me. That is, in fact, probably the highest number of words I've ever produced in such a short amount of time. No wonder I feel exhausted.

I've decided to let the Harry Potter muses play, since I've found I can't concentrate on just one thing anyway, while I'm writing my essays. But as soon as the last essay is done, I will switch to writing Farscape fic, because I *really* need to finish 'Normal'. The Harry Potter muses will then have to share my head with the Farscape muses instead of the Evil Real Life Monster. In general, though, I will try to get more consistent. I'll try to write every day, at least for a while, after the essays are done. I've never tried that, but I'm curious to see if it will help me, maybe, to actually *finish* something, for a change. *g*

Wow. *Looks amazed*

*hands Hmpf a cup of hot chocolate and tells her to go to bed and sleep lots*
