hmpf(I was too busy trawling the net for rumours.)
Anyway... the best bit of news yesterday was in a con report by Frell Me Dead's B Sharp. I'm quoting:

Well, just walked back to the room to give you this brief update. Rockne is taking a last question or two, so unless something was said in the last 5 minutes, this is the latest….
Rockne appeared on the stage with a piece of red tape covering his mouth, and after taking it off, he said that “I talked with Brian, and there are some I’s that not yet dotted and some T’s that need to be crossed, so, I just can’t say anything”.
He gave a great short talk about the origins of FS, but mingled into his talk and his answers to questions, he let out a few things:
“Brian and DK send a special hello; they can’t be with us today because they are in Syndney working on a project that I can’t say anything about” (the crowd roars…)
In answer to a fantastically worded question about what his role would be if something that couldn’t be talked about were to actually happen: “IF something like that were to happen, I would be involved as a writer and an executive producer”
and...
“I’ll be in a meeting next week with Brian and DK, and” (crowd roars again)
So- no direct announcement, but a whole lot of winking and comments and so on- we’re getting our show back!<<
According to another poster, he also said 'If ever there was a time to read between the lines, this is it.'
Can I just say how much I love the people who make this show? The red tape thing is priceless!
Oh, and Ben had some hilarious reasons for not telling us anything. Quoting from trubadour's con report:

He takes out a stack of cards to read from and says, “These are the official e-mail talking points as to why I can’t talk about what I can’t talk about…(1) they are currently in the middle of negotiations with Brad Pitt to star as John Crichton in the motion picture…… (2) they are in the middle of negotiations with Kermit to play Rygel in the motion picture….. (3) shooting in Australia means crossing the time zones, which would then cause a rip in the time-space continuum – too dangerous….. (4) homeland security issue --- Moya’s crew is being threatened (my wife told me that)…… (5) it would cause a major destabilization of the latex market…. And (6) the truth is, David Kemper’s evil!” <<
