Foodblogging!
Jun. 7th, 2012 12:20 amI've been remiss in my foodblogging. Well, I'm getting close to the point where there just isn't that much food to blog about anymore, unless I wanted to repeat myself. And in the last few weeks, I've been eating particularly uninterestingly, from a blogging point of view: on most days, I either had asparagus risotto (already pictured here), or pasta with asparagus, or pasta with spinach, or pasta with asparagus and spinach, or pancakes (also already pictured here), or sandwiches with store-bought hummus (not pictured, because sandwiches aren't blog-worthy). Anyway, here's a few pictures of things I had that haven't been pictured here before:
Cream of zucchini soup:

Pasta with asparagus and dried tomato:

Mashed potatos with fried onions and boiled "kohlrabi" ("stem cabbage"?) (potatos looking a bit gluey because they were the wrong sort to mash, really):

Leftovers from that, with added cheese:

Pasta with spinach and cream:

"Arme Ritter":

(I suppose you'd call the latter a variety of French Toast. The dark stuff in the centre is jam. The dish is called, literally translated, "Poor Knights" - I'd probably call it "Destitute Knights", though, because that sounds better - the idea being that knights (= members of the nobility) who didn't have any money would eat this - old bread soaked in milk and egg, fried and served with some jam.)
