I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I very much hope he or she will both be competent and sympathetic. Please keep in mind your issues might be neurological (ADHD and the like) rather than psychological, and bring that up yourself if necessary.:)
Yeah, that's why I insisted on seeing a neurologist/psychologist, rather than just the latter. I will definitely mention everything I can think of (including the fact that when I walk, only one of my arms swings, and other odd things like that. I have lots of little weirdness like that. *g*)
Such things are quite typical for people with 'neurological differences', in fact. They usually went unnoticed when we were kids, though, as in those days, most issues were explained psychogically, so it usually was considered preferable not to diagnose anything if a child was coping reasonably well.
