I liked Spirited Away (I saw it on DVD in Japanese with subtitles. Is the German dub okay?) but I like Princess Mononoke much better. It simply has more depth with its man vs nature theme, whereas Spirited Away is just a nice family movie. Unfortunately, judged by the numbers I read on Animexx, a lot of families/parents haven't realized this. But as the big studios keep telling us, classical animation (yeah, Spirited Away is Anime, but the general population does not perceive this difference yet, I believe) is dead and everything needs to be 3D these days. *sigh* BTW, I went to see "Sinbad-Legend of the 7 seas" a week ago. Nice. Not great but nice.
