What, just ten? ;-) Yeah, me too. It's very annoying, but I don't want to change my e-mail addy - I've had it for four years and about a thousand people have it, and I wouldn't even know how to reach half of them to tell them I've got a new one. Well, it might not be necessary - after all, I know how to contact the people I'm closest to - but, all things considered, I'd really like to keep the addy - I've used it to subscribe to dozens of forums and mailing lists as well, and don't want to go through all the hassle of changing my addy everywhere... Is there *anything* one can do against spam? Oh well, probably not - or you'd probably do it, wouldn't you?!

Mailwasher (http://www.mailwasher.com/) is what I use to weed out the crap before it clogs my inbox. Automatic deletion is a good thing... and saves wear on your delete key. :)

never commented on a lj-posting, but this is just too true not to comment on. i wonder if they have ever thought of the fact that we have names like christina, alexandra etc that SORT OF indicate that we are women and DO NOT REALLY need to enlarge our penis??!!

Well, my addy *is* sort of gender-neutral... But I think that these mailings are done automatically, anyway. There isn't really anybody behind them who could notice the addies...
