Had a flatmate take a picture of the mouse under the plastic bowl before I took it out, too. I'll post it when I get it from him.
Mice are hard to beat for sheer cuteness. That mouse was the star of our flat for the half hour or so it was our guest today. We almost decided to keep it. *g*
I'm not quite the saint of mice that I would like to be, though. I have, in the past, been accessory to mouse murder. Our flat has a persistent (well, intermittent, sort of) mouse problem. Seems like every other year (or sometimes more frequently, even) some mice find their way in from outside and decide to spend the winter with us. Once, they even managed to reproduce, and we had loads of cute-as-a-button tiny!mice running around. Cute as they are, mice are a fairly serious health hazard; we tried just about every kind of trap on the market (and built some of our own, too), but eventually we had to resort to kill traps. Even with those, it took about a year or so to really get rid of the mice - for about three years; then we had the next infestation.
I hope catching this one as soon as we noticed it for the first time means we'll be spared another infestation this year. It was pretty clear it was new to the flat - didn't know where to hide from us and ran straight into a room completely devoid of hiding places, where it was easy to throw the bowl over it. *g*
and there's cats and whatnot about, so maybe not. But he (or she) has a chance, at least. If the mouse had stayed in our flat, we'd eventually have had to kill it, so it's certainly better off outside.
And I did leave it some sunflower seeds. *g*
BTW, I'm on ICQ now, if you like and have time.
(Using the Methos icon because I am, alas, also the Death of Mice, sometimes. Although I do love them.)

I've set it free now; sprinkled some sunflower seeds around the place

I think the phrase that describes the mouse problem best is...
