Thanks to my recent early morning mailing mishap you now have my private e-mail address and may have fed it into google and been directed here (as well as to some even more embarassing places). I could make this place disappear from public view - but it's been around so long that I feel it would be rather silly to do that, like trying to put toothpaste back into the tube.
Things to keep in mind:
1.) This blog is situated in a very particular social context, a subculture of sorts: fandom. A lot of what I'm doing here can't be properly understood without knowing that context.
2.) While there are posts about my personal life outside fandom here, the more private entries are usually not visible to the wider public. This, of course, makes for a lopsided view of me and my life.
3.) Some of the first google hits for my mail address are very old examples of my writing, ca. 1999/2000. Here's something not quite as old. (If you're gonna read my fannish writing, I may as well direct you to a recent, decent example.)
