My week.

Monday: Get diagnosed with what may be melanoma (a form of skin cancer). I'm in a high-risk group as my mom already had malignant melanoma three times.

Tuesday: Study all day. Don't eat. Don't sleep.

Wednesday: Barely pass oral exam. Go on to deliver worst presentation ever. (It was stopped after 20 minutes because everyone agreed it would do neither me nor the listeners any good to continue.)

Thursday: See lawyer about defence in law suit about to be started against me. (I'd rather not go into details here until after it's over, 'kay?)

Yay.

That said... it's all not as bad as it could be. The melanoma, if it is one, is in an early stage and can probably be removed completely; the exam - well, all that mattered was passing it, really, and I *did* pass; the presentation grade I can still 'save' by delivering a good written paper; and the lawyer said my chances of getting out of this without having to pay anything are at 'better than 50 %'.

So, there's silver linings to all these clouds.

Still, I'd prefer blue skies.
