It just occurred to me...

since I'm posting most of my RL stuff (except for exceedingly angsty stuff) under my 'fanatic' icon, that people might wonder... Yes, that is me in the picture. *g* No, I'm not usually blue. I'm not even a proper costumer. Basically, there was an occasion, during the Save Farscape campaign, where we needed an eye-catcher for a con table. We figured dressing up a few people as Farscape aliens would do the trick. Since I'm willing to do nearly anything you can imagine for fandom, no matter how silly, I volunteered to be one of the aliens. The pic is from the first costume test; the finished version looked a bit different (it included a full bald cap - painted blue, of course). The alien [is supposed to be/is inspired by] Zhaan, the Delvian priestess. I use it as my default icon because that's a bit how I try to be in fandom: peaceful and kind of zen. I mostly am, too - the LoM 2.08 thing earlier this year was the first time I've ever been involved in anything approaching wank, in nine years of fandom participation. It's very hard to upset me, and I try to be respectful of others. (You can ask beccatoria about my zen-ness, if you like. *g*)

The 'fanatic' caption is there because despite being zen about it, I *am* a fanatic, and that's why I'm on LJ. *g*
