A propos of nothing...

I just realised that if old Star Trek slash fandom had been in the habit of contracting the names of its favourite pairing like many current fandoms do, it would have resulted in either 'spork' or 'kock', both of which I find rather hilarious... (Well, or 'spirk' or 'kick', obviously, but those aren't as great.)

Also, if I don't know the fandom, I can't work out who's who, whereas with names, I at least have some sort of clue. But I'm thinking I migh snigger inappropriately at "spork" now. As if it weren't such a funny word anyway...
