'Endure' just got recced. At the crack van:

*basks*
Is this the first time one of my HL stories has been recced? Not quite - I remember my Horsemen story got recced once, ages ago on some Methos mailing list. But this is certainly the first 'official' rec I got for Highlander stuff in the last five years or so. And it's only about the fifth time any of my stuff has been recced, I think. (The other three recs were for 'Together'. For some reason Harry Potter fandom was extremely eager to embrace me, compared to my other fandoms. But maybe that story simply is so popular because it is slash. Gee, how sad am I... remembering every single time I've been recced...)
Okay... back to work now. No, not fic writing - just the kind of work I get paid for. I usually don't post from work, but I'm just so bowled over right now I had to.

Look here:
Date: 2005-06-09 12:40 am (UTC)*sigh* Nice as it is, being recced, wouldn't it be great if the people who recced one's fic thought to *tell* the author about it? I mean, what's so wrong with giving feedback? I only found out more or less by accident that I was recced, too. Actually, this applies to nearly every time I was recced - this time someone (not the reccer) told me on my LJ, but the last times I only found out by checking where people who were visiting my website had come from in my website stats. If I didn't have paid webspace that allowed me to trace who's linking to me I'd still be sitting here thinking nobody liked my Harry Potter fic, when in fact it's easily the most popular thing I've ever written.
