Working, beta reading and making pottery.
May. 10th, 2005 01:34 amThat's what I did today. Beta read a very short Doctor Who/H2G2 piece by Dune (or rather, started betaing that, I'm not done yet), and a story by Scapekid (squeeee! It's not fanfic, but I'm a fangirl for pretty much anything she writes!) Apologies to Dashan whom I promised I would beta read her translation of Analises 'The Delitescent Doorway' (can anyone tell me what 'delitescent' means, btw? My dictionary doesn't know the word, and neither do I), but that is so long and Scapekid has a deadline at the end of the week and Dune's story is so short, so I put the Doorway on the back burner until I'm done with these two.
The pottery making was part of an experimental archaeology project I'm participating in (of sorts). I'm learning how to make neolithic pottery, and today I made my first bowl. It was fun, but took ages and ages (4.5 hours), and so I didn't get around to much else.
Tomorrow I really have to catch up with my reading for uni, and continue with the Farscape/Worldcon organising stuff. I need to make some decisions soon... very soon. Preferably tomorrow.
Unfortunately, all I really want to do is make Doctor Who icons and write Farscape fanfic. Grrrraaaarrrrrghrrrfffgrl.

Hidden; latent.
[From Latin delitescent-, stem of delitescens, present participle of delitescere (to hide away).]
I've been enjoying Doctor Who, as well. Have not watched the latest episode - will do that tonight, but Eccleston and Piper are good together. I'm not sure about the Doctor, as yet, he seems to be making himself out to be less trustworthy than he may be, but Rose is a lovely girl.
In what way are you...
