My body must be kidding.
Dec. 23rd, 2004 04:22 pmSaturday afternoon I started feeling a constant pain in the left lower abdomen. I didn't worry much about it, thinking it was a side-effect of menstruation. However, during the night I found I couldn't sleep on my back or on my left side - lying on my left side made the pain so bad I couldn't breathe properly. I started to worry. I had my parents pick me up on Sunday, and went to see a doctor on Monday. The doctor sent me to a gynecologist. The gynecologist sent me to hospital. In hospital, they did all kinds of tests - most of which had already been done by the two doctors I had already seen earlier that day - and then gave me a de-cramping infusion that didn't change a thing. They kept me there for observation for a day and a half, during which they didn't really do a lot (Tuesday I spent waiting for a doctor who didn't arrive). Wednesday they let me go home. The pain is still unchanged. The only thing that seems certain is that it is *not* a gynecological problem. Now I have to see more doctors. Yay.
Just what I need for Christmas.
Missed a party, a roleplaying session, a DVD-watching session, and an important seminar at uni due to this dren. And I still don't know what's wrong with me.
Not happy.
