No! No! No! I think cute, scruffy, looking past his best and not at all like himself Jim Carrey is rubbing off on you (no, I don't mean that in a guttery way!!!). You know I loved the film but he did look a tad depressed rather a lot. Think Eternal Sunshine...proper sunshine, rays of light through tree leaves, light sparkling and skipping off the waves before they break onto light hearted sandy beaches....

....ok, so maybe that was a little sugary!! lol...but think, if you don't open the curtains, if there's a real life Jim Carrey not-lookalike out there who's meant just for you, you'll never even see him!

(((((hugs to Hmpf))))) Hope you feel better soon.

Actually, the movie made me feel *better*.

I've been a bit depressed lately, thinking a bit too much about certain aspects of my life (most of it detailed here on LJ, in fact. I'm such an exhibitionist.)

But Eternal Sunshine with its strange optimism in spite of bitterness is just the kind of movie that makes me feel better when I'm in that kind of mood. I will probably have to watch it again...
