I've given in.
Apr. 21st, 2016 11:43 pmGeneral casual fandom blogging now happening here:
Compartmenalising Hmpf @ tumblr
Longer text posts may still appear here on dw and lj occasionally. Certainly any needs-to-be-flocked, kinda-personal stuff will, as well as alerts when I post new fic. But the casual stuff's on tumblr now. I'm sorry. :-(
I kinda hate tumblr, but I'm logged in there 24/7 because it's still one of the better sources of Radiohead news; may as well do my non-Radiohead blogging there, too, for the time being.

Date: 2016-04-22 08:14 am (UTC)Tumblr is a total nightmare when it comes to sustaining any halfway meaningful social interaction or discussion. Plus, everything I dislike about organized fandom (the cliquish bullying, the drama, the entitlement issues) seem to get magnified and blown way out of proportion.
Last winter, I had to cave in and succumb to the Dark Side, though, because Once upon a Time fandom on LJ/DW is virtually non-existent.

Right now, I'm sticking to some sort of "Whatever came up on Tumblr stays on Tumblr. Everything else gets posted on LJ/DW just as it used to be" posting routine, which is working surprisingly well for me.
Oh, and the biggest irony: The handful of people that I started following, are exactly the kind of people that I would have also friended on LJ/DW.
