hmpf: Cole and Ramse from the show not actually called "Splinter" (Default)

Need some very general bug-related info, and I don't feel like going to little_details right now.

ETA: Ah, right. The question. *sheepish*

Are there some bugs that don't infest plants in great numbers necessarily but that you still want to control a bit, and thus will collect off your plants sometimes?

And what do you do with the collected bugs. Do you crush them or what?

ETA2: C'mon. This is for a LoM fic and I need it for a gesture of casual creepy cruelty. You *know* you want to read that! ;-)

Endlich...

LG! K.

Ha! *g*

Vielen herzlichen Dank!

Drat!

Maybe I can blame it on the nuclear war...

Whoops, sorry, jetzt bin ich schon wieder ins Englische gefallen.

Weißt zu zufällig, ob *irgendwelche* Käfer in England an Kartoffelpflanzen gehen? Oder zur Not auch an Tomaten - aus rhythmischen Gründen brauche ich was mit derselben Silbenzahl... potato plants, tomato plants... :D

Nuclear war sounds good - they came over via the Americans anyway, and if a nuclear war is no reason to frell up UK quarantine, then I don't know ;)

Er, other pests that apparently are found in the UK: Cutworms? Or maybe snails?

Thing is, it's a *very* small nuclear war... Like, tiny. Only four cities nuked around the world, one of them in Britain. Not sure that's enough to justify changes in the British fauna, especially not this far north (the fic's set in Manchester, the nuked city is London, natch').

Hmm, snails could work, I suppose. The shells would provide the 'plok' sound I need when they hit the tin. And they'd crunch when you step on them, too. I'm just not sure there'd be enough of them to provide Sam with 'entertainment' during an exchange of words that's several minutes long? In a garden that's pretty well taken care of?

sorry for cutting in here

Oh I don't know about that. I've actually had less trouble with snails (and slugs) since I stopped looking after the garden and let it do its own thing. Also they come out in the rain whatever. I don't think it matters how well kept your garden is - so therefore, there could be a whole bunch of them for him to be squishing or chucking in a tin.

Hope that helps c:

It does indeed! Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I thought I had.
