hmpf: Cole and Ramse from the show not actually called "Splinter" (Default)

This is kind of funny: for Christmas, I had a book called "Number Five" on my wishlist, and an album called "Number Seven".

Now, for my birthday, I'd like three albums named "Berry White", "High Violet" and "Seven Star Green".

I swear I'm not doing this intentionally.

High Violet is quite a nice album, though not, in my opinion, their best (assuming we are both talking about The National here...!)

Sorry the beta is taking ridiculously long. :( I ended up busier this weekend than I thought but I should get it back to you sooooon! <3

Take your time. My week's busy too:

I have to write a minimum of seven articles/essays, plus two job applications, and build two professional-looking websites, and provide a whole lot of paperwork for my rent support application thingie, all within the next six days. (That's all the stuff I should have started doing last week, when I was in geek-out mode.)

Just for fun, here's everything they want from me so they can decide if I deserve help with my rent:

- application form (6 pages)
- form stating that the 'center of my life' is here, and not at my parents' place (2 pages)
- an additional letter about same (1 page)
- form describing in detail my (financial and other) relationships with my flatmates (2 pages)
- an additional, detailed letter about same (2 pages)
- form filled in by my landlord about the rent (1 page? haven't got that one yet)
- a letter from my landlord saying it's okay for me to sublet three rooms (1 page)
- a copy of my tenancy agreement (8 pages)
- copies of the tenancy agreements I've made with my three flatmates (18 pages)
- forms filled out by everyone who's employed me in the last five months (including the guy who fired me for semi-legal reasons - wanna bet it's not exactly going to be easy to get him to fill in forms for me?) (2 pages, since I've only had two employers, thank god)
- five months' worth of bank statements (11 pages)
- statements about my savings and the interest derived from them last year (4 pages - 2 per bank account; I have two accounts, though one of them is nearly empty)
- a statement from my health insurance saying that I'm insured with them
- AND, here's the best of them all: an official negative answer from the student support administration regarding financial support. This is ridiculous, because a) I'm too old to qualify for student support, b) I'm studying something that does not qualify a student for support, and c) it'll be over in a couple of weeks. So applying for student support would be truly absurd for me. But, apparently, I will have to do it (meaning: *that* administration will want a lot of the above paperwork, too), and then wait for months and months until they decide that I'm not worthy, and *then* I can go back to the rent people, show them my negative reply, and possibly get some support. YAY!

My god...

Bloody hell, girl. :(

I sympathise about the housing thing - as part of my current (and likely to soon be former, cus I think the organisation is going to go bust...) job I spend a lot of time typing letters to the Council, etc., on behalf of people having issues with their housing benefit, etc. It's stupidly complicated here too. :(

Ah, housing benefits was the phrase I was looking for. :-)

Sorry to hear about your job trouble. Today I had to hear again (from a member of the older generation) that, really, our perception that our jobs etc. are so often precarious is all wrong, and that most of those jobs will in fact turn out to be quite safe and long-lasting and good. Yeah, right.

As for my acute stress issue this week... I *hope* that I may convince one or two of the people expecting articles or websites from me to extend the deadline a bit. Otherwise... a heart attack looks like a good idea, right now.

(Needless to say, almost none of the stuff I have to do this week is stuff I'm going to be paid for. One article; the rest is all 'exercises' for my uni course.)

OMG

Procrastinating (yeah, I know, bad Hmpf), I just visited your vid streaming page and saw you've made the Sarah Connor vid of my dreams. Among other things. How do you manage to rock so much, woman?!?
