I am so frelling tired.
Oct. 1st, 2004 11:00 amA whole week of waiting for It's Walky! updates at four in the morning is taking its toll.
In other news, I was impressed beyond words by the anime Angel's Egg yesterday. Can't say I understood any of it, but the visuals are... overwhelming, in a dreamy/nightmarish kind of way.
Also in other news, I had a very freaky dream tonight involving an insanely complicated huge building that at least in parts seemed to be ball-shaped, and had a very strange internal make-up, and was possibly a hospital or a hotel of some kind; a stretch of forest I've dreamed of so often before that I'm beginning to believe it must exist somewhere; the University of Birmingham (only it didn't look or feel like the university I know; more like a French baroque castle); my mother; my old primary school teacher and her husband; greek gods; some of my profs; and a game involving warps in reality and mysterious hints given in life-threatening situations by said gods to my mom and me while we were competing for some elusive price with a whole bunch of other people, some of whom played really nasty.
I love my brain and the stuff it produces when my consciousness isn't involved.
Also in other news, I'll be gone for the weekend, visiting my grandparents and assorted family in Hannover.
Oh, and here's a few more one-sentence/one-paragraph descriptions of the It's Walky effect:
- 'It's Walky!' is a daily gag strip that sneaks closer to you while you're laughing, until it can slip a hand inside your chest, put cold, cold claws around your heart, and shred it to bits.
- 'It's Walky!' is like greek tragedy acted out by the 'Peanuts'.
- 'It's Walky!' is like a cute little kid punching you in the guts real hard.
- 'It's Walky!' - Sometimes you're *laughing* tears; sometimes it's just the pain.
(The things I do to pass the time on the train...)
